I haven't got any experience with Apple devices like MacBook, iPad, iPhone.


What are typical document types on these devices, like .DOC, .TXT, .XLS, .DOCX, .XLSX Word, Text, Excel documents in windows.


How do I search these devices for typical document types, like .DOC, .TXT, .XLS.

    You can use Spotlight (Apple's equivalent of Search in Windows) to find documents by file type.

    On an iOS device you can invoke Spotlight by pulling down on the screen. On macOS if you look in the menu bar, in the top right hand corner, you'll see a spy glass, which will bring up Spotlight.
