Do we chose a probate registry district office to send to? Do we just chose nearest to us rather than nearest to deceased?

It makes no difference. If you need to swear an oath that be done at solicitors.

Yes, you get to choose. I chose Winchester as it was relatively near, similar to London (my other choice) and a nice day out.I could have posted but wanted to hand over the documents personally. I did the oath swearing there as well. All nice and easy.
This was only last year but before online so i dont know hows thats affected things.
