Balancing radiators etc

Been quoted £1000 in London to have 11 radiators balanced.

As part of the work, they will drain the system a couple times and replace any broken TRV, I know at least 5/6 are broken, maybe more.

The quote is just for labour and I understand it might take 2 plumbers up to 2 days.

ITQF?

  • Sounds on the high side to me. I'd say two days for ONE plumber would be more than ample time.

What are the symptoms? A system with TRVs is generally said to be 'self balancing' anyway.

My website has a page on rad balancing which may help https://www.miketheboilerman.com/balancing.html
Boiler repair technician in Reading, will travel. Older and awkward boilers my speciality. Google "Mike the Boilerman".
