Is it just the credit they are holding on to, or are they delaying the final bill (which would confirm the amount of credit/debit outstanding)?


If they've not produced a bill within 6 weeks you need to raise it with the Ombudsman. You can go to the Ombudsman after 8 weeks, but that clock starts from the first time you contacted the supplier about the issue. If you haven't done so it would still be worth sending a letter or email that is clearly marked COMPLAINT, telling them you want a bill and you'll be going to the Ombudsman on x date if you don't get it.


If you HAVE had a bill, then there's no dispute (from them) about what it outstanding. After 2 weeks, you'd be within your rights to send them a Letter Before Action giving them another 10 working days to pay up or face a claim with the small claims court. (It's unlikely to ever get that far though)

We're still with OFM and have a credit of over £450. We've asked for it be refunded several times but despite promises that it will be with us within 14 working days it's still not arrived at our bank account. Not sure how best to proceed as our electric usage has gone down since we joined OFM 12 months ago and our credit will continue to grow each month, especially as we're heading into the summer months.
