It wasn't available about 08:00 on Friday morning. Unsure when it was last seen as working before that point in time.

For information, the credit data on Noddle is from TransUnion (formerly Callcredit) and is available free of charge on Totally Money and GiffGaff.

GiffGaff updates every time you log in and Totally Money updates once a month. Noddle by comparison updates every 7 days.

I have found that the Totally Money balances are often more than two months old so GiffGaff is much the better option in my opinion.
  • Noddle is also free of charge. In my opinion, the fact that some of the free services are now generating a new report more often than once a month is just a bit of a gimmick. The banks and credit card companies generally only produce and send account data for the CRAs once a month, so I've noticed that a weekly check on Noddle rarely shows much change from one week to the next as far as account data is concerned. Perhaps it's a different story as far as reporting searches is concerned? I suspect that the paid services score over the free services on that aspect (in that maybe one sees any new searches much quicker via a paid option than via a free option)?

Yes, Noddle is also free of charge but the point is that these are other options whilst the Noddle website is unavailable.

You are correct that banks only send data once a month but if a service like Clearscore is only updating monthly it means that it is potentially two months old.

I can also concur that the GiffGaff and the free Equifax Protect reports do update searches in real time.

Yes, this is true for Callcredit as it is for Equifax and Experian although the Experian statutory report takes about 7 days for the password to be delivered through the post.

The data on these statutory reports is fine but mine run to dozens of pages and are nowhere as user friendly as the likes, of Noddle, Clearscore and MSE credit club.
  • Noddle.co.uk is now available again.
  • If you access it via a mobile it's still unavailable and they are working on it.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
