Parking in own space: issued with claim despite previously winning at County Court

Thanks everyone.
So I've now received a discontinuance notice in relation to the second ticket, following on from their drop hands offer. But they are still presumably pursuing the first ticket and I will need to attend court.
Am I missing something here?! They don't seem to have linked the two tickets together. Why discontinue one and not the other, if only to confuse me into thinking the whole thing has gone away?
Is there anything else I need to do here, other than prepare? I have my day out in court all booked...0 -
How lnog until court? More than 7 days?
If so then their discontinuance isnt late.
I wouldnt attribute intelligence to any action by these parasites.
Prepare as best you can. Write a skellie so you know
- your strong points
- theuir utterly awful points
- all their unreasnoable behaviour.0 -
IMO such behaviour is unreasonable and you can, when you win, ask the judge for punitive costs for your time at £19 an hour under CSP27.14(2)(g)You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
-
I hope they get a kicking from the judge. Residents should not be harassed in this way. Have you read this?

The court hearing is 3 days away. This can’t look good for them can it? Two identical same fact cases?0
-
That’s in my costs, at 19 quid an hour. It really is unreasonable in my view, winding people up and stressing them out in this way. Is there anything I can do to respond to their discontinuance email, other than telling them where they can stick their faux tickets.0
-
Presumably I can still claim costs on a discontinued case? The costs are the same anyway as the two cases are on the same facts so the defence arguments are the same, and prep time no greater for second than first case.0
-
I agree, so don't forget to ask and explain the many ways in which this Claimant's conduct has crossed the threshold of unreasonableness, such that you wish to claim ALL your costs and time, at £19 per hour LiP rate, on the indemnity basis as set out in the CPRs.
Quite possibly they haven't even told the court they discontinued that one!
What you MUST do is attend and see the Judge to make the case for your costs, even if the court tells you on the day that both cases have been discontinued and to go home. DON'T. Just saying!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

An update on my case.
So I'm all set and get to the County Court in good time only to find that my case isn't listed. Much confusion and checking with the main court to be told that they think the second case has been also discontinued but they can't be sure. No prior notification from Gladstones or the Court on this.
The first case (there are two tickets here and I asked for them to be combined) was discontinued last week by Gladstones. They told me there was no chance of a hearing today as the second charge wasn't listed. Gladstones had sent a sub contractor to represent them who was equally bemused and unimpressed with the situation. He had only been briefed on the second charge and hadn't realised the case had been combined. Gladstones only provided a WS for the one, not both tickets. They clearly hadn't realised and appear to have had two separate teams working on this without each other knowing. Bizarre!
In all a very unsatisfactory day, given that I had taken precious time from work to represent myself only to find that time wasted. The Court said they would look into this listing and the case details and let me know in due course whether the case will be re-listed for trial.
I was raring to go - thanks to the advice on here - and feeling pretty confident of a win. Such a shame!0 -
Now if that isn't unreasonable behaviour, I don't know what it, so I would be preparing a three-figure costs schedule and submitting it to the court just in case you do get a hearing.
