Independent financial advisor

Does anyone know if I need a specialist independent financial advisor as Im setting up a discretionary trust, and if so do you know where I’d find one, ive tried unbiased.com but it doesn’t tell me if the advisers have Done advice like this before ?

To set up the discretionary trust you need a solicitor expert in Trusts.
You may need independent financial advice on the assets you are putting into the trust.

Have a good look round the citizens advice website, there may be something there. I have set it for England, but you can change it for other parts of the UK.

Unbiased is no longer an adviser directory for IFAs. It is a lead generation site and includes FAs.
Most IFAs would have no issues doing a discretionary trust. FAs are less likely to.To set up the discretionary trust you need a solicitor expert in Trusts.
Only if the trust is a bespoke arrangement and/or includes non-investment class assets. If its just a case of placing funds into an investment in trust then that is pretty much simple territory for an IFA using a provider supplied discretionary trust form.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
