Advice

I'm 22 living in Scotland and doing a full-time MSc in cybersecurity + also working a full-time job at the same time (my first year working full time in IT). Scottish Funding Council (SFC) paid my Uni fees so I don't have to pay back anything. I did have some trouble with attendance but got this sorted eventually.

I live with my parents and I save around 1.3k a month putting £100 of that into my works pension and another £100 into Vanguard Lifestrategy 80.

I keep 1500 in TSB 5% and my pay goes into that before transferring it to Santander 123 1.50% where I currently have 10k.

Started LISA this tax year and already been paid the £1000 bonus. When the new year starts I will add an extra £4000 into this Skipton 1% account to get the first years interest plus the bouns.

I also bought 1 bitcoin in 2016 at about $400 and still have this but also bought Etherum, Litecoin, EOS, TRON and IOTA at the start of 2019.

My only outgoings are car fuel - £20 weekly.

I'm somewhat introverted so don't go out partying or anything. Mostly been doing University work in my spare time, after this I will be looking into Amazon FBA with my friend whos an accountant.

Any suggestions where I can improve?

Personally I would be putting a lot more into Lifestrategy and pension - you'll be very glad you did one day

if you're not already doing so maybe pay some rent to your poor old mum and dad? :D
  • Don't understand how you can be a full-time student and be employed full time. In Scotland, student support is provided by the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) not the Scottish Funding Council, who actually fund educational institutions. SAAS will not provide support for full time study to a full time employee. Please explain.

Even an extrovert wouldn't have time to do 2 things full time concurrently. I remember doing a full time job while doing half time Open University and it nearly killed me working long hours 7 days a week. Still it wasn't as hard as being a parent...

Possibly, I will look into it also they insist they don't want anything from me but I do take them out now and then.

For some masters they do. I did get withdrawn for not attending but appealed with a lot of evidence showing that I was doing the work and they put me back in.

Search funded Scholarship places from the Scottish Funding Council (SFC).

It is difficult but it's my last year so hopefully will be worth it at the end. Besides my boss is really laid back and let's me attend uni when I need to. I still do uni stuff at work when it's quiet and it really helps out.
