Cheapest way to level a back yard

    Do you want to pave the whole lot? If so, you're going to need a slight slope so the water runs off.

    Yes, there is a retaining wall at the end of the yard. To get to the yard round the back of the house there is a short dirt track which could easily fit a mini digger down there. - however, what would you do in terms of pipes/cables underneath the yard? I’m guessing it’ll show if anything’s there in the paperwork with the house?
    Hand digging it may be a lot of hard work and like someone stated above, it could result in time off work.

    Yes, I would be wanting to pave the yard eventually so I would have to keep a slight gradient I suppose
