Gravel pathway problems

Hi
We have cotswold chippings gravel pathway in our back garden. In spite of having placed lawn edgings, many gravel get on to lawn(thanks to children and pets) and while lawn mowing the stones dangerously flies around.
Just wondering if there is any way I can get the gravel well bound to pathway.I am told there is a pour on resin but dont know how effective they are and how long the effect lasts.
Also in spite of having laid weed fabric, the weeds are starting to come thru gravel, will the resin binder stop that as well?

Any thoughts?

  • I can't advise on how to deal with the gravel. But please increase the height at which your lawnmore cuts until you get it sorted. High enough to avoid hitting the stones. I had this issue a few months ago in my garden and it ended up finishing the blade on my lawnmower and could have seriously hurt someone if they were around me at the time. I took out all 4 of my Flymo parts which I'd say is about 4/5cm in height in total.
