Very true, I think I am going to cancel both. I will do Premium Bonds instead, cash in hand then move to LISA/ISA when I have surplus0

Have you maxed out the 5% interest accounts currently available? If not that’s a much better return than premium bonds.0

Started PC lottery in May have had 3x£10 wins 1x£15 and last week won £20, used to buy £3 worth of scatchcards every week before and rarely won more than £2 or £3, so basically the PC lottery is costing me nothing and I'm winning some £££0

Postcode lottery for a short while due to when searching winners via area , my area wasn't a winner of any decent prize.
Since subscribed to Euro Mills' -much better in respect of multiple 10 pound winners from my original chosen numbers, which I'm keeping as at least I gain get two or three matching numbers which pay a small prize.
As I like Euro Mills I could maybe add another set of numbers during 2019 though don't want to take expectations to unrealistic levels.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
I took the plunge and I cancelled my National Lottery DD 2 months ago and tbh I feel better having the £30 in my account, haven't felt so frustrated checking my numbers every week. I heard other people were cancelling but i was like 'what if'. Then looked at it again a few months later. The odds of winning have lengthened, 2 numbers just get you a lucky dip, the payout for 5 numbers get you a couple of thousand where before it could be tens or hundreds of thousands, the price went up, the bonus ball was removed an extra 10 numbers were added and on top of this I was beginning to read they were still selling scratchcards even though the jackpot was already won. It just seems to be more and more of a con and dreams of winning big getting further away. I cancelled it and then read the reviews on trust pilot. Glad I did.
I've kept the PC on. I feel for £10 a month Ive got better returns and a better chance of winning. I've also won more than with the Nat Lot.
Also this guy stole £1,500 worth of scratchcards from his work and won NOTHING!

If you invest £30/month in lottery tickets in various forms (£360 total), and come away with more than £370 in prizes, that year, then yes. If not, then you're better off putting it into a savings account. Compound interest is, after all, winning the lottery slowly.0

Lol - I've never played the lottery and something was on TV so I decided to sign up for a lucky dip twice a week on EuroMillions. It's roughly £20 per month by DD. I won't bother checking tickets I know so hopefully I'll get a nice email one day telling me I've won £57,493,222.

I have been playing since 2015 and in that time all I have won in total is £100
I noticed that most big winners are in Wales, West country etc but very rarely central London. I have decided to give myself two months tops and then pull out.as has been said,if I stop checking and just put money in a pot, I will be better off.0 -
I think if you can afford it without going cold or hungry and it won't lead to a bigger gambling problem, I don't see the harm in it. Your odds of winning are so low, it probably won't ever happen but it is just a bit of fun and you never know...We all like to hope and dreamSaved so far - £28,890.97
