I can't see much future for any new development of ICE models now. Consumer sentiment has already shifted towards hybrids and full electric vehicles so that's what manufacturers will focus on.

Price will always win, there is no 70% tax on electricity like there is on vehicle fuel. And many would say battered powered cars are more expensive.
We will only know the true cost of vehicles when they are equally taxed.

The Tesla Model X SUV can it tow, its maximum towing limit is a substantial 2,270kg – easily high enough to haul a large caravan or trailer.
I don't see why towing will be a problem, if that is what the customer wants, that is what they will get.0
