Hi; there,has anyone else had trouble contacting Avro energy , have called about 10 times and no answer and have also emailed them twice but still no call back or reply. Online statements anot available so no idea what shape my accounts in.Very poor customer services . cheers Anthony

Yes me too. They have been overcharging me for months with very late responses (if any) to my enquiries. If you called them and pressed the option for existing customers it used to cut you off!

I'm having to go to the ombudsman to get any result at all. But that is causing an issue as that introduces yet more delay ...

I eventually managed to contact AE today but they said they will not do anything as my complaint is with the ombudsman - doh! :-(


My issue is that they are due very soon to take even more money and I am already nearly £800 in credit (monthly DD £230) and I cannot afford for them to keep doing this.

I'm tempted to cancel my Direct debit but am wary of having a bad mark against my credit record.

Juts to close the loop on this, Ombudsman Services has upheld my complaint and said that Avro Energy had shortfalls in customer service for lack of contact and for not refunding my large credit amount without any reason. There should be a refund, DD reassessment, apology and £50 goodwill gesture forthcoming.


I sympathise with anyone else who has had to go through similar experience, not least because of the large amount of money being withheld for a long period.
