Hi everyone
My OH is about to change jobs which means we won't be strapped for cash any more. It's got me thinking about my Avon.....
I don't earn much commission but it's been the icing on the cake as it were - paying for petrol to visit his Mum and Dad in Wales, a meal out... but not fab money.
I'm going back to work in 2 weeks following Maternity Leave so my free time will be much less. I'm wondering if I should carry on with doing Avon..
I don't have another local rep so would need to order online (I like looking through the books!). I like getting the Hello Tomorrow, and have customers I don't want to let down...
Buuut to 'help out' my customers I'm going to end up buying books  .
I don't know what to do....???????/April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

personally i would carry on with it, think that when you go back to work you could get more customers that way??
and if you only buy one pack of books, then order for yourself out of the tomorrow campaign you will save yourself money there.
just keep at it for a couple of campaigns and see how it goes, if all else fails, do you know anyone who can take over your patch?? you could introduce them, help them get started, and with you giving them all your customer, im sure that they would let you have a look at the tomorrow books and order out of there??? personally if someone gave me all their customers then i would let them order out of the deal books.

Hi
The thing is you never know people may surprise you. if its the 1st time your taking th books round, knock on the doors and introduce yourself as people will appriciate that more than just a book being popped through the door.
Also you can try friends, colleagues etc, try and expand ur area that way.
Good luck with it all x
Would suggest that if you have 30 mins spare, go through this thread as theres some really good suggestions, the main point I would say is look at what targets you have to meet, and how much the books, bags etc are going to cost, as they need to be paid for. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I didn't think it was worth it. Lots of cellulite and eye lift creams that I couldn't put in for fear of offending my customers!OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -

I totally agree with this. Beside striking up a 'friendship' (you know what I mean) you get to know the definately 'no' houses. That way you don't waste time dropping off a book that won't have orders in, and very possibly you won't get back therefore waste money

I'd love to do Avon, but I live in a big city where all the buildings have entryphones, so you can't just shove booklets through doors. I also don't work, or have kids, so no colleagues or other mums to sell to ...0
