Im glad im not hthe only one that feels like a plum asking for the books back0

OOOOoooooooooooooo I am so annoyed!!! or rather I was!
I ordered the scales from book 2? at the offer price - this I know because I copied the order number from an e mail a customer sent me, and I checked it was the right one.
and yet some how amazingly they have come up full price. 40 quid!!! instead of 25!!
I phoned the helpline and the girl was really nice I was so relieved cos otherwise I would have been in so much trouble money wise.
oh and I also feel like a plum when I get the books back!

Hi All,
before christmas i had a raffle sold tickets for 20p each or strip of 5 for 1.00.
from the moment i started doing avon i started buying things that were really cheap, being discontinued or when some offers are on when someone has to spend 15 and they receive a free goodie bag then i would look through people orders as not everyone took the offer up, so i would combine the orders and order the free stuff and put in in the box, i had 2 full boxes of things within 6 campaigns!
i went offered the tickets to everyone, friends family etc, and the prize was a 50.00 goodie bag, i ran the raffle over 2 campaigns, and i asked the local shopkeeper to witness the raffle and asked a customer who came in the shop to pull the ticket out, also the shop keeper displayed the winner on the window.
everyone was talking about it in the shop and the winner was over the moon (never won anything in her life before!)
now i never used all the products in the box as it totalled up to more than 50 quids worth so i have still got loads left for my next raffle!
and whats best is all the raffle money is mine!
you would be suprised how many people buy a few strips as they have a better chance of winning!
also, for people going on holidays etc, you can give them little samples of their fav perfume to save on the room etc in the bag, and its handy for the handbag on a night out!
Lisa
p.s i totalled the raffle prizes at full cost and not the price i got them for, but they are still happy as its still quite a lot of stuff for 50 quid!0 -
I was thinking about buying some of the perfumes that are on offer this month and putting them into 1ml vials - as samples to hand out to friends and include with the catalogues for so many houses. Do you think that this would be worth while?
edited to say: I'm getting the vials for free (a friend of mine is on a bio chem course) so each sample would be approx 10-20p depending on the perfume.0 -
I used to be a rep and while I enjoyed a lot of it (and quite miss it) I don't think I'd do it again. I found that it was too much stress at the time for me - I had 2 customers have a very nasty reaction to a cream (plump and smooth, i think?) and getting Avon to get their backsides into gear to send the required stuff and credit my account was rediculous.
They said some returns didn't arrive back with them which was utter rubbish as i had returns they did aknowledge and the ones they said never came back, all in one box! After quite a bit of fighting, they did give in.
Between those 2 episodes and a few battles with people to try and get them to pay (and the uncomfortable "sorry, i need payment before i can leave any good with you" discussion!), it all felt like a lot of hard work for (in my experience), very little reward...On the up

whilst i can totally see where you are coming from, isnt it going to be a pain spraying them into the bottle? why dont you get some strips of card and spray it on there?? or just ask for their arm when you go around??
or you can just buy the testers for around the same price?? they work out around 20p each.

Blimey... my Sales Leader is actually the area manager so I never get any calls from her as she's too busy :rolleyes:April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
my sales leader is rubbish!
luckily my mum did avon for years and knows how to do it, but the only time we ever heard from her was when we were making £800 orders!
she never answers her phone, she never returns emails etc etc.
