Cancel car purchase

Any advise is appreciated.
I paid a deposit for a car (used car retailer) with agreement they would change cambelt and water pump for me however the garage have noticed the car has some other problems which they will be fixing but can't give me a time scale.

Does anyone know if i have any rights to cancel this purchase and get a full refund of my deposit as the car has developed problems while in the possession of the the seller and I'm also worried it may have develop other problems.

Thank you
