Euro PCN should I appeal via POPLA

Hi

I have received a £60 Euro PCN. I paid the correct parking amount and therefore appealed with my receipts. The appeal was rejected as I didn't input the correct reg, I had just bought a new car and put in my old car details. I've only just realised I've done this after my appeal was rejected.

Is it worth appealing via POPLA?

I'm worried I'll lose the right to pay the £60 and it will go up to £100 if I lose the appeal and I am aware now that I did input the whole car reg incorrectly but also feel annoyed that I did pay the right amount, it was just a genuine mistake!

Thanks

yes it is, because the BPA told members recently to overlook simple keying errors and it was mentioned in last years annual popla report too

dont just rely on that one point, use as many as possible, see post #3 of the NEWBIES sticky thread

you can always plead your case to a judge within 6 years if ECP try a court case, so keep the proof of purchase safe and take pics or scans of it

Did you miss post #3 of the NEWBIES THREAD, about POPLA stage?

No-one pays ECP, even if they lose at POPLA!

Send an email to ECP's Data Protection Officer - see their PRIVACY PAGE - headed up GDPR - data rectification notice and tell them this, and show ownership of both cars to prove you are the data subject. Tell them to RECTIFY THEIR DATA that the payment attributed to xxxxxxx car (which wasn't in the car park, and their ANPR data already tells them that) was in fact the payment for xxxxxxx car.

Prepare a POPLA draft as well, using the usual point shown in the sticky thread 3rd post. You will probably lose at POPLA unless ECP muck up landowner authority, but so what really.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
