    I've never had a problem with insurance companies "ducking out of claims" quite the opposite in fact
    No.79 save £12k in 2020. Total end May £11610
    Annual target £24000
  • we are limited to full annual payment rather than any monthly installments and some providers dont cover BR.

    Two claims = increased risk.
    Of course your insurance premium will go up, whether your fault or not.
    Protected NCD will protect the discount on the increased premium.

    I renewed one of our car insurance policies last month, six months into bankruptcy.
    As it happens, our existing insurer was the best value, so it was just renewed on the same basis, with monthly payments.
    I could see that I thing about bankruptcy on the paperwork, so let the policy renew automatically.
    Our buildings and contents policy was also renewed on the same basis - with monthly payments - in February.

    I get 10 quotes each year to get it back down..... its just a game

    and its 1 claim since 2010 now (and 2010 was a HGV hitting me...)
  • For anyone following, direct line have offered a competitive price and have accepted us for monthly payments. 1x deposit then 9x monthly payments. I cant do it today as im not due until mid may but they have confirmed it isn't an issue at all & have all the info to call back :j

    I didn’t have a single issue with getting monthly car insurance. I just used a comparison site.
