  • Correct. With forceful doorstep lenders who didn't care who they lent money to so long as they got commission out of a sale.

    Or, ignorant borrowers who didn't care they were getting "free" money as they were going to default in any case.

    A long time ago around the early 00's I used Provident for doorstep lending many times. I was most certainly caught in the trap of paying off and borrowing more. Of course the door rep was very friendly being her job and working on comission to get me to take more loans.

    Would I be able now to see how much was borrowed etc. via a SAR request or has too much time passed.
