Provident Loans

A long time ago around the early 00's I used Provident for doorstep lending many times. I was most certainly caught in the trap of paying off and borrowing more. Of course the door rep was very friendly being her job and working on comission to get me to take more loans.
Would I be able now to see how much was borrowed etc. via a SAR request or has too much time passed.

You could try your luck - you never know what they will come back with if you don't try.0

Are you sure you really want reminding of how much you had borrowed in total - perhaps too sobering a thought for most.0
-
Why would you want to know?
They probably don’t have records, unless you defaulted, but either way, what’s the point?0 -
Think of this scenario - somebody read on a website say its called MSE about the misseling of payday loans and whether there is the possibility of getting some dosh back - ring any bells?
Could be one reason why the information is required.0 -
You have it right Jones. There is nothing wrong with Provident loans. They have traded for over 60 years without complaint until the recent Payday loans scam developed. We lived in poverty in the 1950s and our mother relied upon them to clothe us.0

It was not a trap, it was a choice
You will probably be able to access the history but, other than depress yourself by seeing all the interest that you paid, what are you looking to achieve by having this information?0 -

Correct. With forceful doorstep lenders who didn't care who they lent money to so long as they got commission out of a sale.0 -
