    Yes. AFAIK there is a box to show joint assets in but someone will correct me if I am wrong.

    Taxable estate and distributable estate can be different

    Joint assets pass by survivorship but their relevant value(usually 50%) get included in the taxable estate.

    Then exemptions are applied.
