Hi,
I had a new shower installed by a plumber, he recommended and installed it, less than 12 months ago. The shower is now faulty and the plumber is basically saying that as it's not an installation problem but an issue with the shower unit itself he's not responsible. For info: he's not seen the unit but it's not leaking just not getting up to temperature.
He's also been somewhat reticent about supplying the original invoice he had for the shower when it was installed, which I suspect may mean that he's installed an old 'instock' unit and not supplied one brand new. Which means I cannot pursue the manufacturer or original supplier.
So the question is, is this actually my problem? Shouldn't the plumber be sorting this out as he supplied the unit in the first place?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Warranties are with manufacturers, so if it's a Mira etc contact them.
Did the plumber buy the shower or just fit it?
Your consumer rights lie with the seller.
If the plumber installed it correctly but didn't sell you it then he doesn't need to do anything.
Who ever sold you it is where you go first, but before you do that you need an experts report to state the problem with the shower was inherent at time of purchase. No one needs to do anything until you make them, that's not as easy as the consumer rights would like you to believe.
As you have a warranty see what they say. triton for example send someone out to fix it.0
