If I am correct then I am sure that finding words or phrases as you describe I am sure that it is less than simple but then I cannot be sure , it is of course that someone other than I will correct me or perhaps I am just finding it less than simple I am not sure that someone else will correct me if I am wrong.
Wow it took me 10 minutes to highlight in red the above nonesense , but of course words/phrases can be one letter or many where would you start. Answer proof reader..... if you just want to not sound as if you keep repeating yourself, proof reader oh I repeated that4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . It may be easier in my tiny mind to save the doc as text , use linux under windows and use bash+awk to sort each word in order and count them etc, and the world is your lobster Rodney, mind you it may be a weekend project4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Thanks for your time guys.
I'm not clever enough to write code but as an admirer of entrepreneurs if someone could develop an app that would proof-read to distinguish repeated words and be able to categorise them into nouns, verbs, adjectives etc for authors and would-be-writers I'd imagine they would soon become millionaires. It would be another niche in the market.0 -
If you want to do simple (ish) word/phrase frequency counting then there are programs available already.
I have no experience of them but a quick search online for "text analysis" will give you several results ranging from cloud tagging to frequency counting/displaying and lots more.0 -

Nice idea, but you can't (or shouldn't) try to auto proof read, it's about more than repeated words and phases.
You might need a section repeated for all kinds of reason.
Proof reading is about flow and context too, you can't 'auto' that. Also little errors that every author makes. For example, Sam exit on page 35 and then in the same scene exit again on page 41 because the author forgot about page 35 (which was written the previous day). A friend of mine did that and it was only picked up when a human proof read it.
Find someone to proof read your work, it's the only way. . .0
