Amazon Prime with YouView?

I have a non-smart TV which I use with a TalkTalk Youview box. I also have an Amazon Prime subscription. Is there any way I can watch Prime content on my TV and if so how please?

Thanks

you would have to put 'Amazon Prime' App on box.

Doubtful if 'Talk Talk' allows that

Best to get a smart TV

Buy an Amazon firestick and if your tv has HDMI connector will meet all your requriements. Presume u have wifi.

Your tv will now become a smart tv.

I think that might be the best solution at present as I'm planning to upgrade later in the year and haven't yet decided what I want re a smart TV. And yes it does have wifi. My son has put his Netflix on there so it must be possible.

  • Only BT have the Prime Video app available at the moment, you're doing suggested above and getting an Amazon fire stick
  • amazon firestick on offer at the moment at £29.99.
great bit of kit at a great price (especially if you are a 'prime' member as well).

Can anyone help with which Firestick I will need please? There seem to be quite a few variations available. I already have an Alexa Echo so don't really need that built in.

    Thanks

  • If HD is good enough, this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0791RGQW3 - just now at £29.99

    If you want 4K, this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079QB9BD7 - £39.99 - good price.

Thanks - I may as well go for the 4k version as it's not much more expensive. Is this everything I need or are there extra cables that I should order?

    Thanks

Go for it. The Firestick should fit in a spare HDMI port on the TV (it may even come with an extender if its a bit tight.)
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.
