Help me understand "accumulation" versus "income" funds

  • I think you both have solved my extra units mystery. I do indeed have several other funds in HL, which probably attract a loyalty bonus will be set to autopilot.

    That's right. Though for accumulation funds, it really isn't "how the tax man would see it" - I can only think it's an error in specification and/or programming, where a calculation that is valid for Capital Gains Tax on income units has also been applied to accumulation units, where it's not valid.
