    Morning all from Mehefinland

Well the Tonka flypast was as expected, blink and miss it, and so quiet!! We put the mares in early as we were expecting it to be noisy! I suppose we were used to the racket they made on take off when they were serviced here. It was quite a sight especially in the winter when they would roar off down the runway with a sheet of flame coming out of the back. Considering they were here for years I had hoped they would do a little more than a fly by. The Vulcan did more on its farewell tour but I suppose that wasn't strictly a military thing.
Mind you the Vulcan on take off was an awesome beast. the whole house would shake.

Did a carbonara with some on date cream last night. a bit enthusiastic with the garlic !! Well I didn't get my neck bitten overnight.

Can tell its getting nearer spring - the dawn chorus is definitely getting earlier.

Not much else going on so hugs and spoons to those in need

Morning. It looks ok weather wise here today. Not a lot planned today I do have to work later if I can I will call at the gym on my way back. I did call and see Mary in her home which does seem to be nice she was glad to see me and we chatted for a while she has given her flat up now which I think she has found very hard she has got bits and for her flat and her own TV so I think she will be ok. I will go and see her again I will miss cleaning for her we always had a laugh she loves dancing on ice and all the soaps so used to talk about them.

    Morning all

Its lovely and mild here and the sun is meant to come out later, I have the rest of this week off to use up my holiday so a couple of relaxing days for me :j

Camelot I had one of those ear candles once it was lovely and the amount of stuff that come out is  but it was very relaxing.

I went to cook the lamb chops last night and realised that I had got pork ones out instead :rotfl: so we had those with a few chips roasted tomatoes and asparagus which I fried off in the pan which i had cooked the chops in, it was very tasty, might have the lamb ones tomorrow night. Tonight I think we will have meatballs and spaghetti.

Right I need toast and marmite, have good days all xx

Morning! Latest bout of forgetfulness was a friend was supposed to be visiting while I had the sewing lesson, but I forgot she was coming, soI forgot to tell her, luckily she phoned before coming [ 3 times, didn't hear the phone!] so we could sort it out. I am forgiven now but my memory is really not what it used ot be lately, and I have even been writing stuff down.
I will be blessedly phone free for the next few days while it's being mended though. He did offer me a tide-me-over one but I refused. Four people have the home phone number, that's good enough. I need a technology break...
Visitor this morning then some sewing to finish. Managed the pinning and cutting out yesterdays so I'll go though the patern and see if there's any stay stitching or similar I can do before next week.

Gld you enjoyed the catcafe, none came home with you TA? Nelski, now you bought a new mattress so you owe it your full attention at bedtime..:)
I dont mean to keep cheering you on not doing housework Holly,I'm just glad you're doing more fun things to you, unlessthat does include housework in which case, Ill shut up..AOD,look after yourself, hot toddy [ you don't have to have a cold in this house to have one] . Glad you managed to get out for a bit SO. Speky, depends on what size the bird was, and whether it was a whole breast, loads of meat on one of those....
Wotcha absentees of which there are a few

    Morning everyone
Had a busy morning....cleaned upstairs and made a big pan of pasta sauce...most of which I'll put in boxes and take down to go in DDs freezer to give them some easy teas. Going down to her house for lunch time as the oxygen is getting delivered between 12.10 and 4.10pm. It means DD isn't able to get to hospital to spend time with baby today, but she'll be there all day tomorrow and then all weekend. To be honest, a day without travelling will do her good....she is so tired, both physically and emotionally.
I was meant to be having lunch with a friend today, but had to cancel so we are going to have coffee and cake tomorrow afternoon instead.
Hope everyone has a god day today.
  • Morning all ( just )
The sun is sporadic but at least it isn't raining :j
I have stripped the bed and the bedding is doing it's thing in the WM. I'm umming and ahing as to whether I will put it out on the whirly or not. I shall remake the bed later, but I have left the upstairs windows open so that should "air" the mattress a bit.
Mr Fix It dragged me to the timber yard this morning and now my purse is £40 lighter  Apparently it was my turn to pay :rotfl:. That old chestnut ! He's now playing in his shed, but at least he's out from under my feet :D . I didn't want him to go with all those sharp tools around as he seems "out of it" today, but I suppose I can't wrap him up in cotton wool :(
DD will be bringing the DGC about 5pm ready for a sleepover and she will stay for her tea too. The "boys" will be having something and chips and we "girls" will have pasta bake, using up some of the sauce I made earlier :D. I wonder if I could get a blue peter badge for that ? :rotfl:.

taff your forgetfulness could be the result of the medication. Mr Fix It seems to have days with brain fog and I believe it's because of the meds. With me it's just normal as I've never been good at dates/places or names :o:rotfl:.
TA that cafe sounds intriguing and expensive. I don't know if I could cope with a lot of cats. One or two maybe or three at a push, mind you I don't like crowds of people either :rotfl:.
Nelski hope work goes well today.
Mehefin yes, you did overdo that garlic, could you breathe towards the west coast please :rotfl:. I did try to see the flypast too but nada :(. We were on holiday near Burnham when the Vulcan went over and it was so low I could see what the pilot had for lunch
Enjoy your Thursday, whatever you are doing.
Sending healing vibes to the poorly people and hugs to all.
    nan xx

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:
I am just plain exhausted today. I had hardly any sleep again and my poor Phoebe had a complete meltdown this morning and just cried and cried. She is exhausted as well so is having a day off work. She needs to go and see our doctor or someone who she can talk to who is neutral. We have a depression and anxiety service in the area but she doesn't want to go on her own so I am hoping they will at least talk to her over the phone. I am very worried about her.

I don't have anything on today thank goodness, I am just playing upbeat music to stave off the fear of the future. I find music very helpful in most situations.

Lee has gone to town on his own (more worry) and Lilly has only just appeared from her bedroom. I am keeping my head down and just trying to focus on what needs doing to keep the house running. To that end we are having sweet and sour chicken for dinner tonight as it is yet another quick and easy meal.

Hope you are all having a better day, take care xx
  • Hi all. Dunpling have a hug.

We have been out all day. I went to knitting group this morning and then we took Dd and Dgs for more biking Dgs is still putting his feet down after a few pedais. Dh is suggesting he puts the stabilisers on but Dd thinks not as he has been using a balance bike. I have never learned to ride a bike so have no suggestions to offer

Lovely day here and I hope you all managed to enjoy some sunshine
