Ppi refund.

I started a PPI claim in May 2018 against Creation Finance regarding an Adams store card I had from late 1999 until early 2006. I received a letter dated May 15th saying they would get back to me within 4 weeks. Another letter was sent June 6th saying it would take another 4 weeks. 6th July I got another letter apologising for the delay and it could take another 8 weeks. After numerous phone calls I received another letter dated 1st October apologising for the delay and that I could go to the Ombudsman but they wanted more time and hoped I would be prepared to wait. At the end of November I spoke to a very helpful lady who admitted that my claim had not even been looked at! She got the ball rolling and on the 6th December I had a letter to confirm that my complaint had been upheld and that I will have a full refund of premiums. However, they couldn't make an offer yet as the consultation paper CP18/18 had not been implemented yet and that it would potentially be affected by the new rule. I rang them on the 1st February only to be told that my case is with the finance team and they could not tell me when I will be refunded. Has anybody else had this happen and is there a time limit of when they should refund me after agreeing to pay me?

As per of your refund you will receive statutory interest which will continue to accrue whilst they wait - the longer it goes on the more it will cost them, they are not delaying on purpose.
