Sueing then for what exactly?0

It seems reasonable for them to check to see if the Power Flush was done. If the engineer is saying Yes but the customer saying No then surely they need to check to see if it was?0
-
If you take BG to court will the judge think you have acted reasonably in not allowing BG to do some checks as to whether a powerflush was or was not done?0

I think personally your refusal to allow them to come and inspect will be your ultimate (and irretrievable) downfall.
We are now between 1 & 2 years on from aledged powerflush, so any tangible evidence of it being done (or not done) are now gone.
I have two questions of curiosity though....
What was the £30 refund for? And how do you categorically know it wasn’t carried out?0 -
Why not? A powerflush requires every radiator to be removed & cleaned with chemicals under pressure. The OP is adamant that this never happened. It's pretty obvious whether the fitter did this or not it's hardly like just some fiddling with the boiler that the OP didn't see. If the OP is credible then on the balance of probabilities they court will find in their favour. The OP will require the fitter who BG claim did the powerflush to appear in court to back up a witness statement that they did in fact do the powerflush. I doubt the fitter would be prepared to commit perjury especially as it appears that they no longer work for BG as if they did then BG would just ask them & wouldn't need to do an inspection. If you take BG to court will the judge think you have acted reasonably in not allowing BG to do some checks as to whether a powerflush was or was not done?0 -

Assuming you are in England, make sure you sue BG at its England address. (They are a little cagey about providing this for obvious reasons.)0
