Can anyone advise about landline packages. I’m trying the cheapest landline package for my 75 year old mum. She’s doesn’t require broadband. Just a good old phone line. She’s currently with the Post Office but I feel it’s so expensive. I can’t find any landline only deals at all.

A similar question was posted the other day. I don't remember the details but I recall BT bring mentioned.
They do a cheap BT basic package if mums on pension credit, but I think there are other options if she doesn't qualify for that. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
BT Basic if your mother claims certain government benefits:

BT is also good even if she is not able to have basic.0

BT Home Phone Saver is £21.99 per month for line rental, unlimited anytime calls, and a number of other features. Inclusive calls are to numbers starting 01, 02 and 03 as well as to 0845 and 0870. The price is guaranteed for up to three years.
Other landline providers offer similar deals, and most of those also include calls to mobile numbers (but likely omit 0845 and 0870).0
