wireless charging pad- beware

i bought a wireless charging pad, and alarmed at the information on packaging as follows.

WARNING:- this product can expose you to chemicals including DINP , which is known to the state of california to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

i am considering taking this back for a refund.

has anyone come across this, and would this apply to all wireless chargers, or just this particular one.

i have not seen this on any other wireless chargers.
p.s. i did not see this until i got home

any advice apprecitated

I would suggest that unless you intend to eat the charging pad and a large number of it's fellows you are unlikely to be at any risk. Read this:

    https://www.greenfacts.org/en/dinp-didp/l-2/6-health-risks-humans.htm
  • DINP is one of the phthalates most frequently used in plastic products and various other consumer products throughout the world, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC, vinyl) flooring, materials used in automobile interiors, wire and cable insulation, gloves, tubing, garden hoses, and shoes etc etc .........

Do Californians not use any of these either! Seriously as agrinnall sound advice suggests unless your going to eat it then your safe.
  • That's the problem with safety hysteria, it masks the warnings about stuff that's genuinely dangerous.
