Sheriff Enforcer Ltd PCN

Hi there,

I have read the guides but am not sure how to approach this, I received a PCN in the post from Sheriff Enforcer Ltd roughly 9-10 days after I parked.

I still have the valid ticket from when I parked, the PCN alleged reason for issue is 'Failure To Clearly Display A Valid Pay And Display Ticket' the ticket was left on the dashboard so I can't see how this can be the case unless it was upside down or the likes but they have provided no evidence to this.

The registered keeper of the car is a member of my family, and the PCN is obviously addressed to him.

I'm unsure which body they operate under if any at all (e.g are they BPA, IPC)

I was wondering should I still use the template in my scenario and if so how would I adapt it to provide the ticket - and if I should? I really don't want to be dealing with the grief of this since I'm a uni student and don't have the money they are asking for! It feels even worse knowing I still have the valid ticket and they are still trying to rinse me of more money. Really hope our government can do something about this!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all.

you can appeal a postal ticket (NTK) using the template , but they are likely to refuse to cancel, after that there is nothing to do unless they take it to court within 6 years

I wouldn't bother to appeal, it's pointless to an IPC member. These cases are won in court so tell the keeper to keep ALL letters, just in case this tiny small fry 'one man and his dog' outfit, break the habit of a lifetime and try a doomed small claim.

The keeper will need to keep in a file, safely, all the data/letters/photos in case of needing to defend the case within 6 years, assuming this is in England/Wales.

But rather than ignore it at first, tell the keeper to email their Data Protection Officer (see their website privacy page) and ask for all photos and data held.

Head it up SAR and use the template provided for a SAR on the Legal Beagles site (please don't copy it here asking if it's OK. Yes, it is).

Otherwise, after the SAR, ignore them/sit tight, ignore debt demands. Is the keeper robust enough?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi there, thanks for all the replies.

I've looked at sending a SAR but they don't seem to have a website so I can't find their contact details in order to send the SAR.

    Regards.

It must be a big barn to accommodate all those.
  • No website, no contact details!!

I would be complaining to DVLA asking why they think it’s acceptable to be sharing my data with such an organisation.
