Faulty Boots

Thanks again all for your help.
They have only issued the store credit this past week, and declined issuing a refund to my card this week, hence my seeking advice about my next steps.
I’m awaiting a reply from the vendor, that I sent prior to posting on here, that that are definitely not going to reimburse me and then I will follow advice from you good folk and speak to my card issuer.
Thanks again for your help and I’ll update accordingly.

If French consumer law is the same as ours (and I have absolutely no idea), then if it's similar to the UK, and they agree to give you a refund, be prepared for them to ask you to return the boots and they could also make a deduction given that you were able to wear them for some months. Were they fashion boots, were they advertised as being waterproof?
