Apart form the launch offers there has never been anything worth claiming anyway so no loss.

A Nationwide spokesperson said: "A review of the scheme concluded that considering the ongoing investment of time and resource required it was not sufficiently meeting the wider needs of all our members."

i.e. it is cheaper for them to put the staff into their call centre.

It was all outsourced to visa in the US from my experience anyway so I assume the admin costs were small anyway. Other banks still offer similar reward schemes on their visa cards (e.g. HSBC and First Direct).

Its a shame - I got a £75 rebate on a Qatar airways booking last year through the scheme.

It seems outsourced to Visa as Rich says. I contacted the scheme (and Nationwide through Online Banking) and Nationwide just said speak to the scheme!

I think the way that's worded is pretty poor/misleading - resource may well be required (funds!) but I highly doubt much time is invested at all.

I didn't claim most of the offers, but did get £60 this month plus £20 TCB for the same purchase, so a shame to see it go! Lloyds Rewards are nowhere near as good IMO.
