Morning all
I have recently purchased a new car and the previous owner has received a speeding ticket that I am responsible for he received it on the 17th of Feb 2019.
I currently have 10 points on my license but 3 points come of on the 24th of April 2019 do just over 2 months.
Now my question is if the previous owner who received the ticket keeps it as long as he can before replying with my name and address think it's 28 days then i recieve the new ticket and hold onto that untill the last minute and can delay accepting the fine untill the 24th of april when i will thdn only have 7 points will i avoid getting bsnned.
The offence was 38 in a 30.
Any advice
Regards terry

As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for speeding tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering) and post a new thread; here's your link:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=5
Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received about the charge (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
