Not a cat lover here, although we do have Chris and Crystal's to stay from time to time. She's not a very social at with us though. I certainly wouldn't pay a fortune to eat a meal with one!

Steve finally seems a lot better this morning, he was in quite a lot of pain yesterday which was worrying. Now to try to tie him down to stop him doing too much.

Today will be doing some of the neglected housework and finishing the pieced backing for the baby quilt I'm making. The baby was born yesterday so I need to get on with it. I have two more baby quilts to mak for the next few weeks.

Morning all! Forgot we were round OHs mothers for tea yesterday, gave me the impetus to cut out the dress pattern before we went [very wavy in some areas] that I needed to take sewing this morning. Bought some waxed African fabric on ebay very very cheaply so will be using that and NOT pattern matching this time [maybe...] I made the mistake of using something that needed pattern matching when I made my skirt, I don't fancy doing that again, although I must say, it wasn't that bad, and the final result is almost perfect [ more down to my sewing teacher than me to be fair]
Still falling asleep in the day with the painkillers, probably going to stop them, because I hate being fuzzy headed, I'd rather have the pain although I do feel a bit ungrateful as they went to some trouble to find one I could take.
New 10 tog quilt turned up this morning so we shouldn't be boil-in-the-bag tonight.

Enjoy the Cat cafe TA, we [ myself and a few friends] went to one last year as part of our days out holiday week . Nelski that's just poo, hope today is better! Holly, yep, we could start the 'Doh!' club...wandering about sounds lovely, I was going to say I'm not near a park but I suppose I can drive to one..Thanks for the idea :) It's so sunny today, hope you enjoy yourself! snoozer, glad to hear he's better. AOD, I think I mentioned the trauma teddies to someone I know, they were intrigued and may be doing them too in the future. Boz, hope you get your fish intact today :) Wotcha Poppy, tru, WM...

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Opticians today to see about new glasses.........I have almost finished the drops which will be great. OH is very good about remembering to give them to me.

My neighbour who lost her husband had an ambulance there yesterday, we had an appointment and they were still there when we got back. We went to our friends to admire the work on the new to them van he is fitting out for their missionary work for the gypsies. Alsi has tea and cake. When we got back I could see B in the kitchen so went over. Her back went on Monday night, she had no sleep and was in a lot of pain. Rang the lifeline and they sent the ambulance. She is on pain killers, they think it is muscle strain. Her son came over after work and stayed the night. I will go and see her later make sure she is ok. He next door neighbours are very good keeping an eye on her as well. WE both have her sons phone number.

The van conversion is doing well, they were lining it out yesterday with sticky back carpet, they have insulated it and also put laminate with a foil backing in. R has 10 days to finish it before they go off down south for 2 weeks of school assemblies.

We are planning to have lunch at Sainsbury after I have been to the optician. I will not have to cook tonight we can have sandwiches and fruit. I need to take bread out of the freezer.

The sun is just beginning to break through, it looks like ebing another nice day.

    Morning everyone
Had good news yesterday...little grand daughter will be coming home next Monday! She has to put on another 4ozs by then to get to 4lb 5oz, but nurses are confident she will as she is feeding really well. DD will go in to stay with her over the weekend and learn how to deal with her oxygen. The oxygen is being delivered to DDs house tomorrow and she will be taught how to change her over from one cylinder to another and to the portable containers. She asked me to go down too so I know what to do. I was at the hospital visiting little one yesterday and am going again today as I'm on half-term. She really is gorgeous.
Other than that I've just been pottering about, getting various jobs done. Eldest DD started her new job in Stockholm on Monday and seems to be settling in well and enjoying it.
Best get on...I have banking to do,
Hope everyone has a good day

    Afternoon all.

Great news dp1 - such an exciting time ahead. :j

Well, I slept for over 12 hours last night, even missed watching Shetland. Seem that every so often I have these mega sleeps.

I've got a washing load in, mo chance of it being hung out in this still rainy weather. I've been out and filled up the bird feeders. Whilst out there I walked around the garden and spotted signs of spring, bushes are budding, crocuses are blooming and the Helebore is in full bloom. Even the north facing hydrangae is bursting out with buds.

There's a meeting I have to go to tonight at 7p.m. I'm so reluctant to venture out at night anymore. :( and it'll drag on for more than a couple of hours, way past my 'get into a warm bed and be cosy' time.

My love of cauliflower is slowly being eroded by the smell of it! I need to eat it quickly before I give in to the temptation of binning it.

Not much else to blabber on about. I hope every one has a happy Wednesday.

    Afternoon all
I had a good night's sleep but I feel drained today and struggling to put one foot in front of the other.... I seem to be either all go, or no go lately :(.
I managed to go shopping to Morries this morning for the usual bread and milk, plus a lot of extra food for the DGC. Talk about having hollow legs, I think they have hollow arms too
We came home via a diy shop as Mr Fix It wanted to get some new castors for his shed bench, deep joy as he just had to have a look around too :rotfl: . He almost took my eye out with one of the castors so it was a good job I had my glasses on .
I have emptied the DW and put 2 loads in the WM, but it started spitting with rain as soon as I stepped out of the back door . So indoor drying it is then.
Dad rang to say he's going to Al*is and will call back round for his tea. He wanted to bring back a couple of chickens for the freezer but I said I could only probably shoe horn one of them in. I think he's trying to take over my freezers again. As long as it's not more pork, there must be at least a whole pig in them :rotfl:. For some reason he was bringing me some cup a soups too, but I declined as I don't like them, even if he says they are lovely.
I have made a large batch of bolognese sauce in the slow cooker so we will have that for tea with spaghetti and some fresh baguette.
Time for more coffee I think before I lay the table for tea.
Hugs to anyone having difficulties whether with work or daily life. Healing vibes to the poorly people.
    Take care all
    nan xx
