Replace wired internet/phone with mobile internet/phone

I was looking at this deal

Add a Three 4G router for £59.99 and you can have unlimited calls and broadband for £25pm with no contract, simply top up and buy a RJ11 to BTS adapter and plug the landline phone in http://store.three.co.uk/view/plan/MBBD15012019T123247?aidset=1&id=1681&awc=10210_1549637943_55fa60c32fcbb5bafeecb6157f21b892&id=1681&awc=10210_1550606516_24d617656aacbc1a48b7fa9b7dd664eb

Texts can be used with the Huawei HiLink router app

I was wondering how feasible this might be?
What things would you have to consider?
Is it possible to take this on business trips via a Mifi and then swap back into the router when home? Or is there an easier way of taking around with you?

  • An ordinary smart phone can create a WiFi hotspot. I long since scrapped the landline and broadband. Three are currently offering unlimited everything (inc unlimited tethering) on a 12 month contract for £20/month.

The only limitation is the variable data rates, it’s fine until around 4pm when more users are browsing or watching cat videos. I obtain around 12 to 60 Mb/s download speeds on Three 4G on an iPhone SE

Thanks that is another alternative and thanks for your experience of speeds.

I have found the battery is eaten up quickly on a phone and the phone gets very hot when it is creating a wifi hotspot

At home I would need to share with others in house on phones, laptops and android boxes

    Travelling just with the laptop
