I once worked with someone who had previously sold "Kirby" vacuum cleaners (I'd never heard of them) and he said a couple where his preferred targets as the woman would invariably want the vacuum, the husband wouldn't, they'd end up arguing but the husband would give in.

So we invited them round and he wanted to demo it to both of us - but my wife was busy so he just got me. Anyway, I pointed him at the smelly bit and said if he cleans it and it's not smelly in a few days I might buy it. So no chance of a sale on the night.
He cleaned it, and guess what. Still smelly a few days later. And they wanted something like one thousand for this cleaner! Seriously!0 -
