I too over time having followed advise about private parking PCN's and have ignored them and this has worked fine.
But my last PCN from NCP has gone code red and i've been issued a County Court Claim notice today. Im hoping to follow the Defence letter template to submit a defence. My question is: If i do have to go to court, then would my only defence be that the charge is excessive (£60 for a 20min overstay) and unreasonable?
Also i was wondering if NCP in passing (or selling on) the yet unproven debt and my details, would that constitute a breach of GDPR laws?
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.0 -
You need to read the NEWBIE section post # 2 and then, if you still have questions, start your own thread.0

Hello everyone.
So I now have a court date late September. The Notice of Allocation states that written statements of persons giving evidence need to be submitted by 9th July (seems a long way from the court case).Anyway I am currently researching suitable formats for witness statements. Any tips on finding cracking WS on the forum?0 -

Hello all.
Just had a "Notice of Discontinuance"!!!!
Can anyone tell me if I can now claim costs. ( Just finished another marathon session putting together my Witness Statement and compiling all the evidence.)
Thanks everyone for all the help!0 -
You can try to claim costs.
I think there is an example or two in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread, where BLUETOFFEE and SASSII both claimed costs.
BTW, well done - it's a win!
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST.
:TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
