But by your own admission they've waited months for payment. The agreement will spell out what will happen so no, they aren't obliged to write and 'tell you of their intentions' - they did that at the time the agreement was signed.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0
