ParkingEye no response to appeal

Hello everyone,

I have received a parking charge notice from ParkingEye in December last year, which I appealed through their online appeals portal. I have received an acknowledgement of receipt email that states:

We endeavour to respond to all appeals as soon as possible. Whilst we consider an appeal the parking charge amount will not increase. Please note that a full written response may take up to 28 days.

It has been almost two moths since the appeal was submitted and I haven't received any response. A few days ago I received a parking charge notice reminder urging me to pay the fine, however it does not mention my appeal or it's outcome.
What next steps should I take? Should I contact ParkingEye and request information on the appeal or should I wait for their response?

  • As long as you have a record of all correspondence I would wait, certainly wouldn't waste time contacting a prolific scammer like Parking LIE

Have you checked your emails to see if it has gone into a junk folder?

Yes conveniently they have emailed me the confirmation :)

That was my first thought so I rummaged through all the garbage in spam and didn't find anything.

In that case I would complain to the BPA. If PE "forgot" then they may cancel it.

It's more likely that PE will claim a code was sent and it's your fault you haven't got it. You may get "another" code but failing that at least you are making your position clear and consistent if it goes to court.

Or email info@parkingeye.co.uk and ask ''Oi, where's my POPLA code?''
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
