Some years ago - a scaffolding pole came loose and dropped from a lorry in front of my car and bounced up and into the wing. Too fast too take avoiding action and even though the name of the company was clearly on the back of the lorry, they denied it and nothing could be proved so I had to take the hit.
I need to think of something new here...

    Get the local paper involved.

Maybe a witness or someone with a dashcam or local CCTV will come forward

This is exactly what you pay insurance for.

Imagine you hit a deer instead if it makes you feel better but the end result is the same, an unavoidable accident in which you will have to claim on your insurance if you wish to be recompensed for the damage to your vehicle.

Accidents are typically frustrating you can either choose to be more frustrated at a series of unfortunate events or choose to move on and accept there are times in life when you lose out. The latter is generally better for your health and those around you.

If you hit a Deer you would have:

    1) Food
    2) Antlers for your bonnet - sweet
    3) Fur to wear at a Vegan demo

I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.
