We've 2 or 3 bird boxes to put up and im wondering how best to fit them to either a concrete fence post, or to a wooden fence panel?
(Its all we have surrounding our garden to fix them to sadly)
How are people fixing bird boxes to concrete posts or wooden panels? (or am i being stupid...)
The fence/posts we want to fix them too are north facing, so out of direct sunlight all day and covered by very tall conifers that grow just behind the fence, so they offer a lot of shelter for where the boxes will go too

Put a couple of picture brackets on them if there's no easy access for a drill?

Drilling into concrete posts won't be easy. An SDS drill will do it, but may smash brittle concrete.0 -
It will be easier to fix to the wooden fence panel as you can just use a wood screw, but you would have to make sure bird box is light enough, fence panel is sturdy enough.0

Loop of wire over the concrete post ?
I'd probably use solid core, but depends on the exact conditions
I can send you a metre or so if you don't have any wire - just PM me
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -
Well the easiest way would be to use this

Other types are available but make sure they are suitable for use outside.0 -
