    Harsh maybe, but whats worse, that or encourage some sort of "action group", and before you know it along comes the next scammer who very plausibly promises for just a small fee "to get legal and other expenses covered", all seems very genuine, probably some shills on the group who say they've gone in to this to encourage you, and I'm sure we all know how that ends.
    OP, you've done your money just as if you put it on a 3 legged nag at the 3pm in Newmarket, sell if you can, and walk away. Poorer but hopefully wiser.
