    I think it's more a case of the end of a run of anything is better than the beginning of a run. A late MK1 would be better than an early MK2. I would hope that an early Mk2 would be better than an early MK1, they must've learned something during that first run.

    You probably changed the oil in it. That was where you were going wrong. An Almera's oil needs to bed in over 3 - 5 years.
