Euro parking service parking charge.

Hello, I hope I am posting in the right place, I've never posted before. However...

Today both myself and my mom received parking charges from euro parking services, on our cars, both dated for 17th January 2019, both at 12.02 stating we over stayed the free parking time on the same carpark.

The letter also states this is the second letter sent to us, however we have never recieved one before or did we get a yellow parking sticker. The letters show the bonnets of our cars and our reg, but not driver.

However at the alleged time of the offence, my moms car was sat in the garage (has been there from 14th jan, and was never driven again, now scrapped due to major engine fault) and my car was sat at a house viewing 6 miles away, then went I took my daughter to nursery, in the opposite direction.

If i was at fault I would pay, but I don't believe we was there as we were both at prior engagements as was our cars.

What do i do, I've read places that say ignore and others that say respond, I'm confused.

    Wow, how weird.
    euro parking services
Definitely them, not Euro Car Parks?

Send the parking firm an email to their Data Protection Officer (Google for their privacy page, to find it).

Do two emails, one from you as keeper of your car, and a separate one from Mum, as keeper of hers, saying that this cannot have been your car and so you require all photos taken, including raw images, and copies of the supposed 'first letters' sent, which by an astonishing coincidence, didn't arrive in either case. QUELLE SURPRISE...!

Finish by saying you require all data and raw images as you intend to complain to the DVLA, the IPC and the Information Commissioner for clear data abuse of VRNs that were not in that car park.

    Head the email up:

    SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST
FOR ALL DATA HELD ON VRN XXX XXXX, INCLUDING RAW IMAGES

You will each have to attach to your emails, your V5C to show you are the keeper.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • How can there be a photo if your cars weren't there. Were they ever there? They must've been at some point....

Don't answer that here, but that is presumably the point - this may be a case of correct photo/parking infringement but an incorrectly issued PCN/date.

Naturally if you can prove your car was elsewhere this is defensible. Letter from said garage will suffice. Car 2 is harder - unless it has GPS data or you do from a phone when you drive it.
  • Yup I deffo got the name write, it's on the letter heading, which company do you recommend I email?

Thankyou for the info too :)
  • The cars have both been there before as it is our local shopping centre, but on that day they were somewhere else
