Smart Parking Appeal Rejected

My appeal to smart parking was rejected for overstaying for about 20 min.
I spent over 350 pounds at the Decathlon and use genuine customer as reason for appeal. the other reason i give is long queue on entering the parking site so actual parking time on parking lot is a lot less.
I naively thought "genuine customer" excuse will work but it get ruthlessly rejected.
I am wondering what is the best action to take now? Appeal to POPLA or just ignore from now onwards?.
Also could the following reasons work in the court?
1. Carrying a disabled customer requires more time.
Worst case for losing the battle in court.
- current fine is £70, what will this be if i lost the battle Court?
- will this court battle be affecting your credit score or bad record?
Thank you if someone can help.

Win at POPLA, then, as long as you didn't say who was driving.
Smart PCNs are easy to win 100% of the time as long as you followed that golden rule and appealed as KEEPER. Please don't tell me you threw that position away?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Before doing a PoPLA appeal, your best bet is to go back to Decathlon and speak to the manager.
Tell him how much you spent in his emporium. Show him receipts if possible.
Tell him that you'll have to shop somewhere else now that you have discovered how expensive parking is.
Tell him that that the rest of your cycling/swimming/running club have also been warned about the horrific parking charges.0 -
- I do enter personal details to smart parking during appeal. although i did not say who is driving. Does it destroy the argument of golden rule to POPLA? wondering what else can be done now
- I called Decathlon and they said they cannot do anything as a tenant of an estate. apparently the parking is shared with Asda, Top shop etc.0 -

Also speak to 'the estate' manager.0 -
You are overthinking this, as sooo many newbies do.
Try escalating the complaint FIRST, always before trying POPLA.
You have a month to do POPLA, so it can wait.
If the landowner will not cancel it after you make a more concerted effort at a complaint, just copy any Smart Parking no keeper liability POPLA appeal, search the forum.
EASY.although i did not say who is driving.
Or ticked a box saying 'driver' on their appeals webpage?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you both KeithP and Coupon Mad for replying so quickly. We will try to ask Decathlon Manager first. Thank you.0
