As there have been quite a few threads on the subject of CP Plus, Meadowhall and staff parking (mine included), I thought I would see what you all made of this.
CP Plus have been given the boot, and now Minster Baywatch has the site.

Apparently, there was also a two page document given to stores this week further emphasising the points made on the above sign.
CP Plus mustn't have penalised enough staff!

It shows what value they place on their staff. They are the ppcs sole source of revenue from the looks of those signs.0

One huge Data Protection question, how does the scum bag company know a car belongs to a member of staff.
If my wife worked there & used my car, then I subsequently got an invoice, boy would I have some funPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0 -

Indeed. Every member of staff should send a SAR to find out what information is being held by the various parties involved about them.0 -
The terms and conditions on this notice are utterly stupid! If you work there why on earth would you want to tell them (your employer or MB) what your VRM is anyway - then you can continue using the car park with impunity. Agree, the data protection issues will be interesting ....0
-
The VRM is required for access to the staff car park.
I do know that CP Plus were definitely in communication with Meadowhall in regards to the number plates they had on their system, even though Meadowhall had a very specific disclaimer on their app saying that the data would not be shared with any other third party! The reveal came when CP Plus laughably decided to include an e-mail in their evidence pack from a member of Meadowhall management openly sharing this information :rotfl: .0 -
Simple solution don't park in the staff car park.0
-
The problem is that people just aren't aware of their rights. Meadowhall security staff go from shop to shop telling people that they will be taken to court if not parked in the correct place.
It's very much a sheep mentality, and the staff that park in the main car park get no support from their employer because they are pretty much regarded as 'criminals'.0 -
The irony is that parking in the correct place is more likely to land you in court.
This issue has been rumbling on for a few years now. The staff really should be grasping this.0 -
Nice to see the clear "forbidding" penalty wording on that sign. (Parking in breach of the T&Cs will lead to a Parking Charge Notice for £100)
One cannot contract to do that which is forbidden.

As for the sign, whats the definition of a vehicle associated with an employee? is this a vehicle for which the RK is a friend of an employee, and that friend gives the employee a lift into work - and then does the shop? From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0
