hi my wife received one of these for eating in a pub restaurant that now enforces you to put your registration in on arrival but she did not see it. so a charge of £85 for 45 minute stay.
is this the correct template to use and do i have to amend anything on this.
thanks in advance.
Re PCN number:
I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a formal complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner and to my MP.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require ALL photos taken and an explanation of the allegation and your evidence, i.e.:
- If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.
- If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner. If you fail to evidence the actual grace period that applies at this site or suggest that only one period applies, this will be disregarded as an attempt to mislead. In the absence of evidence, it will be reasonably taken to be a minimum of twenty minutes (ten on arrival and ten after parking time) in accordance with the official BPA article by Kelvin Reynolds about 'observation periods' on arrival being additional and separate to a 'grace period' at the end.
- in all cases, you must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date.
Formal note:
Should you later pursue this charge by way of litigation, note that service of any legal documents by email is expressly disallowed and you are not entitled to assume that the data in this dispute/appeal remains the current address for service in the future.
Yours faithfully,

that template is used "as is", no changes , by the KEEPER of the vehicle, appealing as KEEPER
the main reason for "no changes" is so people do not reveal who was driving due to thoughtless words , its alo for those who cannot compose a suitable appeal written in the third party speak, with no incriminations and to save on recriminations
the only time it is NOT USED is for company cars , lease and hire vehicles etc , where the keepers and drivers are definitely NOT the owners and definitely NOT the RK either (bottom of post #1 of the NEWBIES thread for that info)
but it seems you have missed a vital trick here by having tunnel vision
the BEST way to get this quashed it to complain to the landowner or pub FIRST, and get them to get it cancelled due to being patrons of the establishment
NO HINTING AT WHO WAS DRIVING
the royal WE will do, but a cancellation by the pub asap is preferable BEFORE going down the appeal route , because there is usually 21 or 28 days to appeal a pcn, so prompt action is paramount here0 -
perfect thank you0

is this the correct template to use
There is only one...please can we not have any more threads asking this.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
result, just got this from the pub manager.
Apologies for the late reply. As you have provided the PCN I will be able to cancel the fine for you.
There are 11 signs in the car park alerting guests to the need to register your car details. I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused.0 -
Nice one! Well done.0
