Gas Energy - Unregisted
So myself and my fiancee bought our house in December 2017. When sorting our energy bills out, it puzzled me as to why we could sort out our electricity but not gas. After finding out the gas was unregisted, It took 8 months to finally get our gas registed with Scottishpower, however when i was on the phone with them, they never asked about selecting a plan or sorting a payment with them. They didn’t even take a meter reading! Currently, after a year and 2 months in our home we still aren’t paying for our gas and i’m dreading the bill when we evenetually sort it out.
My question is - will we need to pay from the date we moved in? Or will we need to pay from when it was registered in August 2018?
Thanks

When this happened to my son a few years ago, the 'new' supplier only billed from the day they took over the account.
From your post it appears that appx 6 months have elapsed since you managed to register with Scot Power.
I'm afraid that SP have form for screwing up new registrations, and that's for normal Switches, let alone problem one's
In your own interests.
Check on the National Data Base for gas meters that you are registered with SP.
Chase down SP for bills by Emails

If you save an approximate amount into a bank account then if you are asked for the full amount you will have it. Any less is a bonus.0
