5k PCN debt collector letter. Scotland

New to this seeking advice on pcns racked up to 5k in 2017 ..letter from a debt collector up north threatening court action 7 day letter. Client ECP
Should i just send them a reduced offer or take the risk in fighting them

the advice for Scotland is in the NEWBIES thread near the top of this forum
it also contains post #4 about ignoring debt collectors
the only time you need advice is if the PPC or their solicitors issue a small claim using your simple procedures via the sheriffs office
a keeper is not liable in Scotland, but these companies will take drivers to court, if they know who was driving or the person driving is foolish enough to tell them0 -

5k does risk court action even up north of the border. In saying that it's still hard for a ppc if they don't know who the driver was.
Replying to them in any way may give away who was driving so don't do it.0
